Attila Oláh

Attila recently joined Union Vienna Insurance Group in Hungary as Head of Corporate Personal Insurance Product Management, Business Development, Administration, and Underwriting. Until August, he worked at Groupama, where he had been Head of the Corporate Personal and Health Insurance Division and Head of Underwriting since 2014. Earlier, he was Managing Director for Product Development at ING Insurance, which he joined in 2008 as Senior Product Manager. Before that, he spent seven years each at K&H Insurance (Hungarian division of Belgian KBC Bank) and Generali Insurance in similar roles. He began his career at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, contributing to mortality- and health-related research projects. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Sociology from the Budapest School of Economics (now Corvinus University) and the University of Maryland, Washington, D.C. For the past 20 years, Attila has served as President of the Health, Accident, and Risk Assessment Section of MABISZ (Hungarian Association of Insurance Companies). In 2022, he received the “For the Hungarian Insurance” Prize (“Magyar Biztosításért Díj”). He actively leads and participates in industry discussions on health insurance, legislation, and cooperation with ministries and institutions, and has been a regular contributor to national and international conferences and professional programs for many years.
